Hey everyone, I have a cf trunk and everytime I pull the lever on the driver side to open my trunk, the thing goes flying up opening. Is this normal or is there a way to fix it? Please help.

 

Well if you dont want to look like james bond poping a trunk full of guns you can do this. Climb into the trunk and look up. You will see 2 bars going all the way across the trunk. These bars are actually more like sway bars that pop the trunk. If you look all the way to the side of the trunk you will see where they are attached on the hinges. There will be slots that the spings/bars go into. Just adjust the bars to a looser setting.

 

Almost all cars have these slots I dont remember if my evo has them or not. If not take the bars out and heat them with a tourch. Then bend them slightly to make them looser.

Honestly though who doesnt like the james bond trunk pop. Im sure there are kids with civics paying good money to have there trunks do this to show off there ghetto blasters

 

I dont got a car or anything but i've seen ppl put them shocks, just like they do for the hood. They look pretty cool but idk how much they cost.
