Anyone who buys an EVO flunked a basic IQ test...
Wow, this guy is a great find. I'm still smiling.
OK, he's writing for a business mag, so I'd expect the Evo and WRX to get panned, still, he comes off as completely clueless.
I'm guessing he drives one of the following:
1. Toyota Camary - Everything he needs at a reasonable price (he's unaware of the Azera)
2. a FWD Volvo - Luxury and safety from Sweden (Michigan)
3. BMW 525 - Who needs an engine?
I'd really like to see his review of the Saab 9-2X. It'd be hilarious to compare to his WRX review since I bet he gives it much higher marks!

You guys could email the executive producer at btaylor@cobizmag.com. I figured I would cc jrundles@cobizmag.com as well since Jeff Rundles email was not listed. Here is what I wrote...
Hello Mr. Taylor. The below response is intended for Mr. Jeff Rundles, and his article on the Mitsubishi Evolution MR.
Mr. Rundles,
You sir, obviously, know nothing about journalism or automobiles, hence should sell your vehicle, your house, and move out to the middle of the Sahara. Besides the fact that its called a "Lancer Evolution" the vehicle itself has nothing to do with a regular Lancer. The Evolution has its roots in WRC which you seem to know nothing about as expected only from a culturally ignorant automobile journalist. Evo is one of the best rally vehicles made on the planet. Its not a luxury car, its not a show car, and its not an econo box for the faint hearted, but it sure can leave any current sport vehicle (luxury or not) twice its price, in its dust with some simple bolt-on modifications. You show me another 2 liter, 4 cylinder stock block that can handle 600+ crank horsepower and carve sharp corners at 80+mph and maybe you'll see our point in buying the vehicle. Since you have basically called me an idiot, I reserve the right (with my sub-standard IQ) to express my deduction of you and your journalistic abilities... Sir, I have never heard of you or your articles and now I know why...you my fellow homosapian are an idiot an should really change your profession to reviewing John Deere tractors...
Regards
I know its a little harsh but I figured if freaks from nabisco can start a letter campaign, so can we...

I can't believe this joker. Does he realize why the EVO cost more than a regular Lancer - I don't think he does. The EVO MR has all-wheel drive, alluminum hood/roof/front fenders, BBS one piece forged wheels, Bilstien struts, Recaro seats, MOMO steering wheel, 287hp turbo engine, ACD, and Brembo brakes. If all of this does not explain why the MR has a higher price tag than a base Lancer, nothing will. This *** should open his eyes and look at all the blatantly obvious aspects that make an EVO MR a superior car over the base Lancer. The EVO does not even look like a base Lancer. The fenders flare out, the front and rear end are different, and the wheels are bigger. IMHO the only thing the EVO shares with the base Lancer is the dashboard.
I own a 06 MR and I must have got a "special" EVO because my interior is solid with no creaks or rattles of any kind. I also have a kick *** stereo with 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect 12's pushed by an Alpine PDX series 1000 watt amp and nothing inside my car rattles when I jam out to ZZ Top, Zepplin, Pink Floyd, or any of the 100's of other rock/metal bands that I like. Hell, come to think of it, nothing on the outside of the car rattles either. I had to put Dynamat behind the rear licence plate but that's about it. As far as I'm concerned, my EVO is as solid as a tank. I had a 04' STi before my EVO and that thing rattled when I cranked up the system, especially the rear package tray. Even from day one, my STi had a horrible rattle from somewhere under the dash - never could find out what it was but it was anyoying as hell.
I hate people like this reviewer. Yeah the EVO has plastic parts in the interior but they are way higher in quality than those in let's say - a Mustang. The EVO was not meant to be a freakin BMW 5 series. IMHO the EVO is a dead sexy, purpose built machine. Alot of people say the EVO is ugly but I think the EVO is one of the best looking 4 doors on the road in it's price range. There are not many other cars in the 25-36 thousand dollar range that I would want over my MR. I guess I'm an idiot and damn proud of it.

i feel sorry for this magazine that they hire the most uneducated car reviewer in the planet... he should go back to school or at least do more research before reviewing a car
what a dumb azz...

I cant stand people who complain that their interior isn't nice. What were you expecting? The performance isn't cheap, I suppose if you wanted a nice interior you coulda picked up a C-class or something for roughly the same. Meh.
