Rear spoiler extension removal

A while ago I bought the Mitsubishi accessory Rear spoiler extension (aka wickerbill, gurney flap). I now want to remove it because I'm tired of it blocking a little bit more of the rear view as well as my feeling that it's designed to be effective basically only in conjunction with the other aero accessories that I don't want to purchase. So my question is how do I remove it from the rear spoiler without damaging the spoiler in any way? It's attached with a two-sided adhesive of some sort. Thanks!

I believe you'll want to use a hairdryer to warm the area and use dental floss underneath, work at it slowly and it should come up.

Compared to the wing, it doesn't seem like that much of an obstruction.

it was a little lifted when i picked up my car. i didnt notice because i was so excited...took it back and they replaced it.

you can try putting it back on with adhesive but i REALLY dont recommend it...i stood there watching as they replaced mine. really not worth the time and effort...i guarantee it will be a BIG PITA.

+1 on both comments. I would imagine, in fact I would find it hard to believe that it does not create more downforce at speeds upwards of 100 mph regardless if you have the vortex generator. Also, the amounf of rearward sight gained by removing it would be nominal at best. I think you are making a mistake to remove it. My .02

Wickerbills/aka gurneys generally increase the amount of downforce a wing creates. They will do this regardless of the vortex generators or other parts of the "zero-lift" kit. So, it is adding rear downforce (or lift reduction) to the rear of your car.
