Autometer or Defi? I Already Searched!

Ok, so there has been many threads about which gauges are better.....i have read day in and day out as much as possible and still cannot come to a conclusion on what I should get for my car. I am stuck between the Defi Link Meter BF and Autometer Nexus or Sport Comp II. I was looking at the AEM gauges but I like having gauges with the needles.....just a personal thing i guess.

I have read on here that a few people have not had good luck with the Nexus, but I think they may have ordered the gauges when they were first released and that batch had problems. Maybe not.....

I like the Defi because they match perfectly and Defi must have a good name out there....They are a little on the expensive side, but the Nexus line is just as high. i am looking for an accurate gauge setup yet something good-looking. Price is not any factor because I am doing this car the right way, the first time. Please let me know as much info/input that you can give me pertaining to these two brands, if you have these.

Thanks in advance!

Here is a link to a thread already about defi gauge accuracy, they seem to come out on top:

I just bought 3 defi blue racer gauges temp/press/egt for 487.00 shipped from a vendor on here.

With Defi you get the most accurate gauges on the market, but be ready to spend between $160 and $200 a gauge. With the Autometer you get a pretty accurate (+/- .2% error) mechanical gauge for about $50. Since it's mechanical, people tend to think its not as accurate or reliable. I haven't heard much about the autometer nexus, but if I were to buy an electrical gauge, I would certaintly go with Defi.

The Defi display combined with the appropriate sensors is a good choice ff you don't want the disco light show of multiple gauges.

I know you guys do not have access to Yahoo auctions japan but you can get brand new setups with the display and gauges for a good price.

Display + control unit II + WT, OT, OP, FP, EGT sensors for $700 (this a set).

Separate:
Display - $235
water temp sensor (WT) - $61.50
oil temp sensor (OT) - $61.50
oil psi sensor (OP) - $120
fuel psi sensor (FP) - $120
EGT sensor - $135
It would be best to buy the boost gauge/control unit combo and then sell the gauge since you will only need the control unit and boost sensor.

I like the electronic gauges because you can set audible and visual warnings. The display will automatically switch to a sensor that trips a preset warning. I run the complete Defi setup in my Honda and I will transfer everything to the EVO after I get my STACK gauge setup in February.
