Stock Boost?
Stock Boost?
Im getting ready to put in a boost guage and would like to know what stock boost (psi) I should be at. That way I will know if I have any leaks or not. Using the search and doing some digging I've I think it should be 19 or 20 psi. But is this right?
I have an 03 VIII

Yeah, that is right, and the reading will taper off as you approach redline. What brand of gauge are you putting in? I wouldn't just rely on the gauge alone to tell if you have any leaks. Build your own leak tester. They are easy to put together. Search for it in the forums, you will find out how.
Why did you ask again? The question was answered in the first reply, and it has also been answered in about 1000 threads. Lastly, Mitsu also answers it on their website where it shows the stats for the Evo.
Yup

LOL. It's funny that you say that, because whoever Warrtalon is, definitely does not represent the Buschur name very well. All his posts, from what I've read so far, are condescending and/or ill-willed. Never do I see a, "it's ok if you missed it, but here's a link." More like, "ARGHHH NEWBIE ARGHH." Again, I just find it humurous.

Regardless, it's not difficult to strip the information away from the tone of the post, as warr almost always answers the question at hand, and usually in a concise manner.
Actually, I think he fits just fine. Dave can be a condescending ***** too, and I think he would more often if he didn't have his name attached to his company. Warr can just do it all the time because he isn't burdened by the same name association. Attitude or not, both are knowledgeable, and offer a ton of useful information.

Eitherways, he definitely is an asset to this community.
I answered the question, even though it had already been answered in this thread and many other threads. If you don't like how I answered, then I'm sorry, but you need to grow up. There were 5-6 responses to my reply that didn't answer the question - ask yourself if that makes any sense. As for not getting the package just because of my "tone," well again I'm sorry - punishing yourself is your prerogative. I don't sell the packages - I just put them together to help Evo owners save time and money in the effort to make their Evos fast. Take it or leave it.
To reiterate, the first reply was correct. To be more "concise" (thank you, Pessimistick), the stock boost on an 03-04 is 19.5psi peak tapering to 16psi.
