Hey riceball can you PM me if you find a good place and cheap to do it? Cuz my CF wing is 40% faded and the local guys near my work are a bunch of A***. Should be resurfaced and clearcoat it seems though.

everyone I know with an older evo (03 or so) has this problem. Mine is starting to a very little bit in one spot. My brother's wing looks like hell.

I can't help you, but I can offer an alternative.

Perfect time to go Wingless! It's what I'm going to do if mine starts looking bad. Luckily my '03 is holding up for now.

It should....all Evo's come with a 7yr paint/body/rust warranty....re-check with your dealer and tell them to run your VIN

when i bought my 04 the mitsu dealer guy said that a lot of wings fade after a while, but clear coating will fix it or at least improve appearance. i would go to mitsu or ur body shop and see what they say

so... i did some searching but came up with nothing..

so, my question is..

I have the same problem with the Carbon Fiber Part of the wing and it needs to be re-cleared.. but i would like to paint the side fins too, is there any way i can take the wing apart ?? I looked over it and only saw the 4 nubby things that look like rivets of some sort ??

Anyone successfully take a wing apart ??

in evo show and shine there is a guy who will re-clear the wing for you... its a huge thread and he has pics of his work... from the thread people are very happy with his work.... the foggyness comes from the clear coat seperating from the CF. This guy sands it off and re-clears it... Do a lil search. you should find it.

mine faded too, took it to the body shop, those M&*&^F&&^% wants an arm and leg, so I get on ebay, get a sheet of CF decal, 15 minutes later (after the decal get here), a whole new wing, no one will ever notice, until they are inches away. $20.00 get it all looking good again, save my $$$$ for mods!
