problem installing JDM MR Headlamps

well everything has went ok until i started changing the bulbs and one of the connecters on each side of the us lamps did not fit on the jdm ones. when i was about to connect them i noticed none of the bottom connecters match. i am aware that their is a wiring harness you could buy but i thought that was for fog lights. and i know the headlight bulbs have to be changed to D2 bulbs anyways any info on my install to help me get these badboys in would be great! mind everyone i did search nothing came up. anyways MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS!!!!

you have to slice and replace the usdm foglight harness to a jdm one. Sorry I forget which kind, but I do remember I swap mine out with nokia bulbs. The only bulb I needed to change was the foglight..

reason why it doesn't match is because the jdm headlights are meant for HID applications. If you have a non-ssl evo.... then you either need to source the Hid assembly from some other evo or take it to a light shop and have them recommend you an hid kit that would mate to the headlights.

You have 9006 low beams on your evo stock and the headlights call for D2S bulbs.

Don't even bother trying to fit in the 9006's into the Mr's, its not worth your time.

You need an HID upgrade which adapts from a 9006 harness to a D2S bulbs which most HID places will sell..

PM me for more questions as I will most likely not check this thread again.

yea right...... as for the D2 bulbs, i will get some tomorrow from my HID hookup, my friend also showed me an easy way hook up the stock usdm harness to the JDM light only splicing a corner light. so all in all should be an easy hook up.

you're better off going with an aftermarket HID kit, which is what I did to use the jdm lights
