Exclamation Tail light solution?

This may be a old idea, but I'll try it anyways.

Has anyone tried to remove the lense from the tail light and paint all the silver stuff with a red chromish paint? Just thought it might look more like a EVO7 without the 400 buck price tag of the EVO7 tail lights....

i'm told taking apart the tails is alot more work than you think... it has a hard glue that is not easily cracked...

You can get the originals for $340 right now by joining the group buy: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...threadid=22415 Granted, not as cheap as a can of paint, but better than the $400 price tag.
