Has anyone else found it hard not to drive this car fast?
Ever since I finished the break in period I can't seen to stay off of the throttle, especially through corners.
I love the feeling of tossing her into the corners at speed, nailing the throttle, and letting the AWD sort it out. I constantly find myself looking for a longer way home so I can have just a few more minutes behind the wheel (as long as there is not a lot of traffic), or searching out other sports cars to get that driver's reaction, not to race, just to see what they do.
I've had Mustangs and GTIs b4, but they have never given me a driving experience like this one.
Buying the EVO was the best decision I've made in a long time, and to all of you possible buyers on the fence I would just like to say that you will not regret picking this car up and you will fall in love w/ it more and more everyday.
The thought of the EVO excites me (not in a sexual way).
Is this a bad thing?

not at all i can only imagine driving the evo because I feel the same way about my lancer. i look for excuses to go out of my way or to hit a winding road just to play alittle longer. my wife thinks i am nuts.
The feeling is back
Ever since
stopped making the eclipse GSX in favor of this newer NA slower not so attractive version. Ever since Toyota stopped producing Supra turbo's, and mazda stopped making the 3rd generation rx7 Turbo. I have had this depression and this glum feeling that the U.S. Japanese car market has gone soft........ But now by reading this thread and getting goose bumps thinking of the days to come, once I take delivery of my evo. In the immortal words of Tank (Operator - Matrix) "These are exciting times for us" Lets all have some fun......

NOOOO ... Tommi Makkinen, David Burns, and Marcus Grunholm are nuts.... You just enjoy driving
Awesome! Are there any good cruising groups to be found in the good ole US of A? I can't seam to find a group of people who like to enjoy driving their rides. Most end up just wanting to get together and mingle and fart around. I much prefer the thrill of driving as well.

the car seems to like to be driven closer to the limit... the car shifts smoother when really digging into it... when i'm just droneing around, the car seems to dog, and the tranny is "stiff"...?
but once you get out on those open back roads she really comes alive...

Funny...its been raining here in CT the last 2 days.
Yet...I'm still doing 90 around the same corners on the way to work and still launching from stop lights with NO wheel spin whatsoever.
1400 miles and I am absolutely in love with this car!
