Quick Q about ECU flashes!

Hey all,
Still breaking in the car (950 miles) so I have yet to floor it but I am hungry as anything to mod it. (plan to do so around 10,000 miles) Anyway, I was curious if the flashes had to keep getting tuned as the winter changes to summer and so on. Does the weather play a role in the saftey of a flash? I mean can I have a safe custom flash tune around 30 degrees yet the same tune could be bad for my car at 100 degrees? Do you guys have to keep getting the cars flash tuned to stay on top of the changing temps?

Thanks,
Marc

im sure it will affect the flash but not so much as to make it un reliable... unless you just go from 30 degrees to 100 degrees than that could factor in some horsepower issues i live in tx and i've had my 8 and ix tuned and i dont really see a difference other than the car runs a lil slower in the summer heat ... and sum slight changes in a/f ratios ubt thats about it ... you should ask for a vendors imput ex: dynoflash (i use) , tt, vishnu

you dont have to flash your car for season changes. but you may have to adjust the boost level some. lower boost for fall/winter and raise for spring/summer

The ECU is smart enough to adjust for changes atmospheric changes, but if you have a manual boost controller, you may need to adjust it for the summer and winter when the seasons changes.

PS. If you haven't floored it yet, then you're about 949 miles late. The break-in period is only 600 miles PER MITSUBISHI, which is a conservative number, and the Mitsu break-in only says not to go above 5k rpm. That means you hammer it to 5k often, but don't rev the engine high. It's not good to baby the car during break-in - it needs to be boosted often, and by 950, you should be taking it to the rev limiter.

When I started offering reflashes for Evos I conducted extensive testing and R & D in varying temps and climates and even altitudes

My flashes will work properly year round

I can not speak for other flashing newbies
