Last time I got a ticket in cali, I had to pay the ticket, the "court fees", and then the traffic school, but theres no point on your record after that, though theres still record of the ticket.

Thanks for the info.

I'm going to call that ticket hotline and see what the deal is. I'd rather not have a huge insurance hike, so if hiring a lawyer to get the ticket dismissed is the only way to make sure that won't happen, then I may just do that assuming the lawyer isn't super expensive.

I thought I was doing pretty good, had the evo for six months no tickets. Then in October I got wacked with five all in one sitting...the kicker is that none of them were for speeding!

Ticket 1- Didn't turn on my interior light when cop approached, even though I proved to the cop that my light turns on when the car is shut off, He said it was too dim and wanted the reading lights on

Ticket 2- I moved and hadn't changed my address on my license yet.

Ticket 3- No front plate, yeah I know I just like the evo so much better without it.

Ticket 4- Insurance expired 2 days from date I was pulled over so as a preventative measure he gave me a ticket to go to court to make sure I got it re-newed ( judge through it out thankfully)

Ticket 5- I took my seatbelt off while I was waiting for him to finish, he had me there for 1 hour waiting, so he gave me a ticket for that too

all in all I did well he even sat there afterwards and talked about cars. He was nice and an *** all at the same time

I got hit for 95mph. About 300+ in SD.

Next was 105mph. About 400+.

Oh yea don't take your seatbelt off because they can write you up for that! Happened to me in my friends car AFTER we got pulled over. Was about an hour wait too. ****ers.

Or enforcing the speed limit. Around here you're guaranteed a stop if you're doing 11 over.

Update:

I got the notice in the mail the other day, and it doesn't any fine amount?

It just says mandatory appearance required? WTF, I got this ticket over 300 miles from my house, this is the worst news yet. Not only do I have to pay a 300-400 dollar fine, but take work off (lose over 100 dollars, and pay at least 120 in gas).

Please, I need some advice what to do?

Find a traffic attorney in the area you got the ticket in he'll know your options better than anyone here who was trained by what they heard on the internet and from watching CourtTV

It may have been stated before, but what was the speed limit?
