POLL: What activities would you like at the 2007 National Lancer meet?

Trying to decide the most important activities to include in the 2007 National Meet in Las Vegas. Keep in mind the 2007 tuner shootout is included in this weekend, so road course is already in. The meet portion will take place at a major las vegas casino and have a parking area strictly for Lancers. The national meet will take place in Vegas on Friday Sept 22nd and Saturday night Sept 23rd since the road course will be going during the day on sat and sun.

Vote for you favorite activity and we will try to get in as many as possible. You can select more than one.

The dry lake bed at Jean could host a rally competition.....auto-x style course with cones.

Since we are doing to road course event at spring mountain, we do not have the time or resources to do another serious motorsports event. Drag racing is about as far as we can go because we do not really have to set it up...jsut go to the vegas drag strip and have fun

LOL not a very good idea if you ask me. LV Blvd is ALWAYS packed, so the logistics alone for doing something like that would be horrendous, not to mention the fact that it is just plain dangerous. The worst drivers in town (translation: cab drivers, people in SUV's, ricers) migrate to the boulevard...

In lieu of the strip, there are a few other really nice scenic routes around the valley. Maybe take off to Sandy Valley, which is right outside of the south side of town, or Mount Charleston up north, Lake Mead to the east or Bonnie Springs/Red Rock to the west.

I voted scenic drive, but I also like the Dyno competition and REALLY want to see a show and shine.

The strip cruise would take place at night and not interfere or take the place of any other activity. It would also be only for those that wanted to. It will inherantly be a little bit of a mess. What I had in mind is not so much trying to get absolutely everyone together, but rather just spilling out onto the strip as we can and headed to the other end. Will make for some good pictures and a good scene. Most cabs avoid the strip unless they are trying to screw their passenger

The Show and Shine is a very likely if not definite activity. I just want to make sure there is support for it and see exactly how much. This will determine if we do awards and what not. The more votes we have, the better

hahah....good point.

They are mostly around the area of the bellagio and just noth since the strip is the only way to get to the main entrance of some of those right there. At least, thats what I have noticed

On another note, I am a little surprised by the popularity of the scenic drive over some other things. Looks like we may have to plan this for friday.

Our basic schedule has room for 3-4 extra activites.

Friday:
Day activity
Evening activity evening

Saturday:
Road Course @ Spring Mountain DE and Shootout Practice
Evening Activity

Sunday:
Road course DE and Tuner Shootout

We could also organize a seperate activity durring the day on saturday for those that do not wish to go to spring mountain. Evening is best for drag racing and show and shine. It will be warm out during the day.
