new to the scene 2

I posted this in the newbie but got one response thanks for the response but he doesnt own an evo...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I own an 04 mustang gt, and to tell you the truth it is a great car. Except for the obsolete design. The two valve 4.6 takes alot of work to make very fast. The handling is not there, but all in all it s a sweet ride. I love the rumble, the sound system is great the gauges are in good alignment.

Ok I am gonna get to it I am fed up with the gas it guzzles, the money needed to makeit faster the fact its just not going to be as good as i thought i could make it.

Just asking a few questions about the evo....

Maintence costs what do they look like?

Suspension does it need work out of the box is it good to go..

How much do i need to make this car hit low elevens?

And is it worth the 33k or where could i find an evo cheaper

oo and which is the best evo is any one good or is one a p o s over another?

thanks chris

any evo will do. of course you can get 8's a little cheaper nowadays and some would say 9"s are a little more responsive to mods. i dont think it too hard to get intot he 11's. little work and a upgraded turbo can get you there as it has with a few people. i love my evo as a daily driver and track *****. its comfortable and loves to be driven. the suspension is great. and with a few minor tweaks its even better. maintenace isnt bad. dealership might get u. but must of it u can do yourself fluids and all thats pretty easy.

gas cost might be the same or worse. ull get anywhere from 17-25 mpg if ur not racing it. 25 is pushing it in most cases.
