Got stopped and fined by an undercover for 'loud exhaust noise'.. After quite a long argument that is.. Wasn't even speeding minding my own business on the very right lane of Sheikh Zayed Road..

It seems what was ruled to allow modding in UAE is no longer valid after the 25th December.

I guess we gonna have to use cones to deaden the sound of our cars. The procedure was to stop my car, rev it up and listen to the 'sweet sound' as the officer put it..

try swapping a more quiet exhaust system.... u might be able to fool them into thinking its stock...

 

or go stock with a electronic cutout that you can open up when you have the need

 

was thinking of a butterfly cutout or watever its called.. Was told there's one being fabricated here for the purpose (INTRACO for you dubai guys..)

i would go with a more stock appearing cat back that is still 3 inches and install a high flow cat.

That's not cool at all. As long as its not super loud and you are driving like an idiot (which u weren't it seems) then they should just leave you alone. A ruling for no more modification? That's terrible. BTW, Dubai has the awesomest looking buildings in the world by far.
