happened to notice my negative battery cable had split.
this was on a mini battery with a grounding kit.

the nut had been cinched up and over time the oem connection just split.

there was enough of a connection that the car ran but I do think I was getting some high load miss as a result.

over time it looked like it would have left me stranded
