$575.00 which i thought was a big time bargain after opening the box and seeing it was HKS like quality or better and also that the flanges and inside were ceramic coated

Don't you dare cover that with a heat shield! Is it for the stock turbo (I see the twin-scroll outlet) just wondering if it's upgraded at all? Make sure you post results

yes its stock turbo - twin scroll

it will be very interesting to see how much HP it picks up - and if the manufacturer's claim of incresed spool up is accurate

Very purdy, but don't you think that you would be better off with a maifold that would allow you to use a non twin-scroll turbo? I'm only saying this becaus it would provide more selections. Do you think that there is much more head room left in the stock turbo? If so, how much more do you think. I like the dual bungs for EGT and AF. Do the stock manifold have these bung or are you going to populate these with after-market devices?

Its the EGR system on the evo vii which we dcont have - they just get plugs - there are only very tiny holes passing through to those cross over system

As for the stock turbo - I am not sure of its limits - but i will find them before the next level - - I want to see how far I can without loosing spool up

That's exactly what I want to know! How about cams and an intake manifold? There could be some worthwile gains there

It makes a BIG difference - major gains from 6,000 to red line - - sounds a bit nicer after 5,000 as well - - - BUT - seems like I need a heat shield or wrap of some sort - it seems like its throwing off mega heat and the hood feels warm

DEI makes a nice heat wrap and sealant (to keep it from deteriorating). You could probably do the whole thing + downpipe with one of their kits (which includes 8" and 14" steel tires). Just a heads up. I've gotta do mine soon too. I think I'm gonna try to do it tomorrow since I have the day off.
