I'll come up and put your car in for you :P

Check with the city, you may be able to make a small cement ramp to help you out.

just go buy some brick pavers, those thing hold up pretty well if you approach it at low enugh speed.

I encountered the same thing on my sister's driveway. She lives in a retreat in the Rocky Mountains. First you go up a long torturous road and then you encounter her long steep driveway. To leave you have to turn around because if you put one wheel wrong while backing you fall off the mountain. Turning around causes me to smoke the clutch every time.

I've been there when other people were visiting and they all could perform this maneuver with whatever car or SUV they were driving but my Evo acts like it is about to blow up. It is embarrassing.

My solution is to not go up there again with my Evo. And this is a car that should excel in these conditions but it simply is not suited to steep grades. It needs either lower 1st and reverse gears or the engine needs a cam with some grunt at lower rpms.

I'd suggest you sell the Evo and go back to the Subie.

Wow, haha.

Well with the Evo X, if you get the paddle-shifters you wont have to worry about your clutch! i dunno about the whole AMT idea anyway, though.
