No the turbo's on the 9's have a bigger compressor housing, than the 05's the difference between the 03-04's and the 05's has the larger 10.5 hotside which the 9 does as well

so whats improved on a 9 swapped on an 05 8 is it worth the money

I thought 280 cams on a stock turbo would be way too lopey at idle....and only used when doing a bigger turbo.....but I guess I could be wrong. I figured 264's or 272's would be best for the street and 280's would be good if you went to a larger turbo.

Oh well I guess you learn something new everyday

i heard the same thing are 280's on stock turbo ok or should i get 272's until i upgrade my turbo

I would go with a jdm mr bov, 272 cams, evo9 turbo, licp, alky and a flash...

With the mods he has its not going to put out that much you need more supporting mods.
