So I made the stupid move of leaving my car running and locking the door. I figured that if I take the remote I will be able to come back and open the door, no problem. Looks like their is some sort of security feature that locks out the remote if you leave your car running. Anyone else have this happened to them? Its Wisconsin and it gets cold what do people in cold climates do? Carry 2 sets of keys…

 

2 sets of keys work, but a better alternative would be to get a Compustar AS system which was designed to safely remote start a manual transmission vehicle.

 

or the apexi turbo timer and set it to 960 and take key and lock car with heat and defroster on.no more lock outs and it cheap just go to lanceshop and buy the package deal
