Where should I go to get another clock spring, the dealer? How much should I expect to pay? Will I be able to drive until I get it? I think it may be damaged. Attempted to remove steering wheel slowly, but it just came off really fast. Please help, please.

 

Listen wires didn't get messed up. Just the film or whatever it is that is wound up in there came unraveled. It is back together and working okay except it is making a crackling sound. Please someone tell me if it is still going to need to be replaced. The car is driveable and functions okay except for that crackling noise. It says on the clock spring if misaligned to turn 3 3/4 turns and align arrows, hopefully this may rectify the issue. I will wait to hear from someone that knows before attempting though. Please someone hit me back.

 

I would disconnect the airbag until you get a new clockspring.

 

So far, so good. I reconnected everything and like I said the only issue is the crackling noise. I really hope someone knows where to get one somewhat cheap in the event that it is no good anymore. Thanks for your help.
