Anybody use the Slowboy FMIC?

http://www.slowboyracing.com/shop.php?sid=&cat=1301

Somehow they had these HUGE gains with only a FMIC upgrade? Their page also says there are rave reviews although I can't find any on here.

Any comments?

I would prefer other feedback than Mr. Buschur. There have seen plenty of people say that the Ebay FMIC is good, although I want something different than the Ebay one which I have now.

The SBR one looks decently made although that dyno sheet looks messed up.

The stock intercooler isn't a significant upgrade until you are producing a lot of power or are having heat soak issues. I wouldn't trust anyone that claims their intercooler makes 60whp -- especially starting from what appears to be somewhat stock power levels.

If you want a quality unit that has been reviewed and developed then go with one of the 3 recommended. You get what you pay for

End tank design is for sure a one-off design.

I have installed a ton of fmic's at my shop and this is by far the best fitting and the only one to get a spot on my evo...

I never said it looked bad, more so it just looks custom made.

Please boss, there are plenty of great intercoolers for sale that David Buschur could care less about. Lately it seems like hes saying/doing anything he can to keep the Evo aftermarket in the states.

Think for yourself.

....thats probably cause they make them and see the profits directly as opposed to a salesman at Lancershop who won't see an extra cent for selling an extra intercooler. The point is that you don't have to believe or support everything AMS or Bushir says. Im 100% sure they will agree that there are products out there just as good if not better than their own.

The fastest Evos in the world (around a track) aren't calling up Buschur asking them to ship a FMIC to them. Don't be so set in your ways when it comes to parts. Look around and see whats working elsewhere.

Some of the fastest EVO's in the world are using Buschur IC's. I guess that doesn't make much sense, although I am more interested in a different option. After checking out the HPF IC that one looks like my favorite so far.

I would like to see some comparisons, maybe something like what Nisei did.
