Maybe the force of the water loosened the inner plastic fenderwell panel?

hmm, I noticed that sometimes in realy cold weather if you turn the Steering wheel before the car gets warmed it will make a clunk or click. The first time i worried but after that i got used to it. It just seeps to be Everything breaking free, or maybe evos are just crappy. IDK when it breaks i will fix it.

Its around minus 2 degrees in Chicago right now and I noticed the exactly the same thing. This AM, there was that very soft click or clunk noise turning onto the street, usually only happens once then went away once warmed.

Some of the water probably froze up on the suspension and brakes and may be causing the noise.

It could also be a bad wheel bearing too.

I had the same prob, and it ended up being these big rubber spacers in the stock springs, the guy at mitsu was like "huh they're supposed to take these out after they prep the car". He said they were for shipping purposes, and I didnt notice it all summer then as soon as the cold weather hit, bam the car was creaking like an old man getting out of a chair!! check your springs in the front! They are black and fit inside the spring coils, the pieces of rubber that is.

You should have made them get you new springs. Those things can really mess up your springs if you drive around on them.

Same here!! Today as I was leaving work and the car had been sitting for a while, I heard the same thing. I think it's just that this car makes noises in the cold. I tried to let it warm up, but one can only sit there for so long ( gave it about 5 minutes of warm up time before I drove away and I still heard it). It did go away after the car was fully warmed up though.

Like everything else, metal expands with heat and shrinks in the cold.
