After seeing what the guy who bought my last car went through, I dont think I would have a car shipped.. They just dont seem reliable. It seems that if you go with the cheapest rate you get from a broker, no trucking company will ship it for that rate....then it takes forever for them to pick it up.

when i bought my s2000 back when they first came out and FL dealers wanted 60k for them (sounds crazy now but not unheard of), I bought one in New Mexico and had it shipped here. I do not recall which provider I used, but I do remember how I found them - www.movecars.com basically a directory of car movers. Be sure to read the FAQ and get as many quotes as you can. The main thing you want to do is make sure their insurance is primary - meaning, if something happens, you don't have to pay your deductable, their insurance would pay first.

It took two weeks from pick up to delivery, and cost was about 800 bucks. Only problem with them I had was lack of communication on delivery. At one point I had no idea when I would get my car, or where it was.

I shipped my car from San Jose CA to St. Paul MN for $800! Wildwood Transport was the company I used. The car got here without any damage, and with just as many miles as I left in CA! Took 7 days from driveway to driveway! Highly recommend them to anyone!

I used these guys: http://www.tfxinternational.com/
They inspected the car with you prior and after delivery. I even had my car at their storage facility for 1 month, a bit dusty but no damage, no extra miles on the odo.
Their trucks have elevators (no angle ramps so your car can be nice and low)
Don't recall pricing, it has been a while ago.
