evo didn't start up today

Tried to start the evo this morning. I believe weather was in the 30's. As I attempt to start the car all I could hear is the starter but no good. Tried it again and this time pumped the gas pedal until car started. It took awhile but it finally started. This is the first time this has happened to me and I've had the car for 2.5 years. I did wash the car yesterday in tolerable cold weather so that might be the reason the car was having a hard time starting up. Anyone experience something similar?

Hmm..I've never had any problems with the car starting up on either of my two evos I had.

On really cold weather (like 5-10deg f), it takes a bit longer to start up but I've never had to pump the gas to crank it.

It might have been the wash on cold night/day.

My car just stopped starting. I charged the battery but got nothing when I turned the key. I'm guessing my starter just went out.

I'd imagine something having to due with the fact you washed it in the cold... I do it all the time but it's possible something got wet when you did it this time around.

probably just a weak battery. They're 3 yr. batteries IIRC, and you're 2.5 yrs. in.
