By "lip" on the regular GSR, do you mean the unpainted black plastic lip underneath the front bumper cover? If so, I still have mine: I've heard it scrape a few times, but fortunately you can't see it unless you crouch down and peer under the bumper.

I think of it as being like a "curb feeler" for steep ramps, curbs, etc.: If I hear it scrape, I slow down or back off. It's nice that way, since it seems to protect the painted bumper cover by giving me an audible warning.

Mine has been slightly hanging since I bought the car used last August. Three or four clips in the middle of the lip were broken. You can barely see it unless you are really looking. I thought about pulling it off but never did.

I have replaced it twice. Once by itself and once with the front bumper.

even lowered I haven't had a problem. I've been driving lowered cars for years though, far lower than I'd want my evo

sahsha yeah I'm not sure wha tI'm gunn do either- I don't think it looks BAD without the lip and it's growing on me. Plus I don't hit curbs anymore. lol

But a friend with an IX might upgrade to an SE and he might just give me his entire bumper for free (we both have apex silver) so I may just do that. ????? dunno
