Rexspeed CF sidespat owners: Need your feedback....

Hello, I'm posting this thread to get feedback on the Rexspeed 1X1 CF sidespats.

How long have you had them on your car and how well have they held up?

I got a nice big fat bonus from work and would like to splurge on a few things for the EVO. Money is no object here as I can get the genuine HKS ones also, but if the Rexspeeds are just as good, I dont mind saving a few bucks....

Thanks for reading and responding.

What are the spats for? I mean, do they have a functional purpose?

That's obvious, but what do they actually do?

They do absolutely nothing, but they sure do look nice... I will be ordering some soon. Hey rexspeed, can you cut me a deal on two sets shipped to the same location?

the carbon weave of the 1x1 is awesome...matches the full carbon wing that i have and the do luck style front spoiler on my 8...if had them for about 2 months and still holding strong + easy to install took me an 30 mins...clean *** look imho
thanks rexspeed...
i would love to see more 1x1 carbon weaves though!!!

I have only had mine on for about a week. The look great...and fitment is nice. I think I need another very small piece of double sided tape cause one of the sides is peeling up from the sideskirt....but that is not Rexpeeds fault. The product is nice...just need to make sure your tape is in all the right places

I love them though.

I got one of the original sets. Took all of about a minute to install each side and they still look the exact same as the day I got them. Rexspeed is an awesome vendor that stands behind his products. Don't waste your money on the name brand.

Funny you mention this, i asked this same exact question also in my thread.

I've been looking at some sidespats for the car, the HKS\Rexspeed looks great especially the CF look, however i'm not totally bought just yet. It looks like it just goes along the contour of the stock sideskirt.

True Side spats are supposed to direct air away from the rear wheels, i don't see any curves from the pictures that i have seen, if someone can point me in the correct direction it would be great. So does the HKS/Rexspeed Spats do anything?

Here is an example of a functional side spat from Monster-Sport:

Air is directed by the bottom curve:
