Cynic? How about moron. Why in the world would I want to lie about something like that? This is a CUSTOMER rebate, not a factory to dealer incentive. If you can't read through a simple contract and see someone scooping a $2000 rebate then you don't deserve to buy a car anyway. It is written in the fine print of every Mitsu ad the company or a dealership puts out, that it is the reabte or the financing but not both. That's why Edmunds knows about it in the first place, because it is public knowlege that there exists a 2 grand rebate on Lancers. But the people that run the site apparently don't know the difference in an Evo and and ES. The bottom line is, if I don't sell the car I can't give you the rebate or scoop it for myself, so why would I hold that out? What do you want me to do? How about this, I'll scan the CUSTOMER REBATE form that has to be filled out BY THE CUSTOMER and signed BY THE CUSTOMER where the choices are apply to the deal as the downpayment or have it mailed directly to the above address, which, you guessed it, is provided BY THE CUSTOMER. How could I steal or lie about it?

It's not the dealers lie.....it's kbb's lie...which is otherwise known as a misprint.

Try to find an official Mitsubishi source where the $2000 incentive is offered but the Evo is not excluded. Bet you can't find one.

I took your last post as a round about way of calling me a liar.

So there you have it.
