every one I know with ayc/s-ayc here in New Zealand has gotten rid of it and gone to the RS (LSD) rear diff (including myself)
You guys in the states have got the "grass is greener" syndrome
A lsd front/rear diff (and ACD) is all you need. It doesnt break down and need specific mitsi only tools to work on and its lighter than the 30lbs of pump and crap that makes up the ayc.
There are enough guys having problems with their current drivetrains without adding something else to ruin.

personally, i do like the no frills, simple drivetrain of my '04, with no ACD. It gives more direct driver connection to the car/road. Although, I would love to also have front LSD, which Mitsu so inconveniently left out of 03-04's.
See, this is exactly what i've been telling people. Everyone whines about not having S-AYC, but most don't know pros and cons of it. One other con is that you apparently get a smaller gas tank due to all that crap taking up space. How many gallons is your tank? Ours is 14 US gal. that's 1gal=3.8liters. Then people whine about having too small of a gas tank for long American roads...well, sorry people, but you can't have AYC and even bigger tank. Quit yer whining
