Re-coating manifolds
I'm getting some peeling on my tubular manifold that I had Jet Hot coated. I wanted to get it re-coated, but didn't know if that was possible. Has anyone had this done?

when I used Jet Hot coating I remember them having a guarantee that it will not peel. Call em and see what they say.

Yeah, I was wondering if it was bead blasted or sand blasted it could be coated again. No question it's a hostile environment for any coating. Anyone else?
do not bead blast, surface compaction will not help adhesion
grit/sand blast, increases surface area and "mechanical anchoring" for the coating.
prep the surface well after the above, de-dust, degrease and dry - helps film to stay on better...

if you did not install your tubular manifold for say a couple of weeks and then send it to get coated then the coating will fail. I have had enough fun with the tubular manifolds to never buy one again. Unless it is a full race or Shearer because those are in a different league.
Or you can just get a stock ported/coated manifold that we sell and it will never peel!

It's certainly worth a try. I purchased the tubular manifold from a "former" Evom vendor so I don't have a contact for Jet Hot. Would someone have a contact?
edit: Never mind...before someone told me to search, I did and found a contact.

Just because it's pealing doesnt mean the thermal properties from the paint are not still on the material. I was told a while back they would still be on there. After trying a couple different coating companies and doing a lot of research with Full-Race Geoff I came to the conclusion Swain Tech > *
