Help with 2-gauge A-pillar install

Hello --

I have the 2-gauge A-pillar pod from Lancershop.com and am having difficulty getting it mounted. I attached the pod to the original stock a-pillar piece with short screws and can't seem to get the combined set-up to snap into the existing left a-pillar brackets. It'll get close, but then pop back out after a few seconds. I was thinking maybe it's too thick?

I did some searching on the forums, and it appears that other people aren't having any trouble -- any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong, or modifications you've made?

I was thinking that I could also just use the Lancershop.com pod without the original stock a-pillar, and use sheetmetal screws to screw it directly into the metal. But, I prefer not to do this.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks,

You need some panel clips and screw the pod right through the stock pillar to the clips.

EzNate - thanks -- I already had the clips (from the original A-pillar), but your comment gave me another idea. I was trying to snap the whole thing (stock A-pillar + Lancershop a-pillar) in at one time. I tried it again by installing the stock A-pillar, and then snapped the Lancershop on top of that one. It worked! Hopefully the screws will hold.

Thanks again!
