Those with Profec B, any ideas ?

I am running a greddy profec B spec 2.... the controller is wonderful, holds boost well. My problem is this.... seemingly only in 4th gear when i shift and floor it my boost always pauses around 14 psi before going to 23. I keep adjusting my set gain and still the same effect. I adjust it higher and much lower with still the same effect. I dont seem to get any boost spiking or creeping, so adjusting the gain makes no sense to me. Im on the stock turbo, ported hotside, ported mani, and O2, stock wastegate. My settings are.... gain 30, start gain varies, but normally around 145 to 160 and boost setting is 60 to 65 for 19 psi depending on temps and 65 to 70 for 23 psi.

do you guys have any suggestions as to what i could do to fix the pause ?

put the start gain to 100... set gain between 10 and 12.... gain around 50ish...

the higher u can get ur set gain without spiking the quicker your spool will be. start at 10 set gain.... then move the gain to compensate to hit the boost you want. if it spike then move it to 9... if it doens't then go up to 11.... keep doign that til i spikes... then drop back tot he previous number where it didnt..

so you get an idea...

28 pounds
13 set gain
65 gain

22 pounds
11 set gain
59 gain

cheers!

i will see what this does... i am using the spec 2 so keep in mind, my settings are different than the regular profec.

If you are using the spec 2... are you setup in metric or standard ?
