Need advice on proper launching
Like the subject line says, how do I properly launch my Evo 8? I launched once by dropping the clutch at 5000rpm and it smelled like clutch for 2 hours. Not Good. So I haven't tried to launch again since.

Don't dump it, just roll off the clutch at about 4500-5000, pushing in the gas as the clutch pedal comes up. You will get slippage, but it wont bog and it'll feel like a slingshot. Mine feels better since I pulled the restrictor valve out of the clutch slave cylinder.
