maybe after a 2G eclipse blows the motor or gets a bad case of crankwalk a evo to eclipse swap could be in order.

Ok, so as fat as i understand u can make the 2 gen GSX perform better on the track than the Evo VIII, and it'd still cost u less... i'm not talkin about performing better on the drag strip tho, i mean in circuit racing.

Now is that gonna be the 3gen Eclipse? Well those are pretty ugly and don't look fast at all...
On the other hand, 270hp and AWD sound pretty convincing

nonsense

It doens't make sense to me why mitsu would make a *sports* car with only the capabilities of one of it's sedans. If Mitsu wanted to make a sports car, they should look closer to what the Saleen S7, Enzo, or Carrera GT offer in a $75k package.

They need a NA V8 or V10 that pumps out 450-500hp and sits behind the driver in a sleek 2 door package.

Then at least their sports car would be more sporty than their sportyish sedan.

Oh no! I going to have to explain what I meant by the phrase "hopelessly incompetent" Awwwright I will !

First, I was referring to the stock eclispe, not a heavily modified monster like your car.

Second, I don't consider straight line acceleration to be "competence". If that was indeed the case, the American musclecars from the 1960s would have to be considered "competent". Competence in my world is defined by a certain fun-to-drive factor that goes WAY beyond 1/4 mile times, skidpad G's and all the other garbage that everyone is so obsessed with. It is a subjective criteria that encompasses the unification of man and machine at the utmost limit of cornering adhesion.
For those who haven't driven (and I mean REALLY driven) a "competent" car like the EVO, I just have one thing to say...
"Drive one and you WILL understand"

Nor do I. I'm getting up at 5:30AM tomorrow to go to an autocross.

I have driven an Evo before. I think they are fantastic cars!

Now this would be a one very agressive Eclipse
What do u guys think of this?

....ookk... smart a$$, i wanna see you make a better thread. There is nothing "dumb" about putting JDM parts into the sissy-mobiles that we get here, in US. For many tuners that is the whole point of "tuning", and such swaps as dropping an SR20DET into a 240SX are not quite concidered to be "dumb".
When i posted that question i was trying to figure out if the Evo's parts would fit an AWD Eclipse, because i found one for sale w/ a blown engine. Now, would u tell me what's so "dumb" about putting a JDM 4G63 from an Evo into that Eclipse GSX, since u're so freakin smart?

And next time u comment on what people say, u might want to apply your highly developed intellect and extend your thought beyond just saying "the dumbest post ever", because this only makes yourself look kinda ...what's the word for that... oh yeah...DUMB!

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ht=eclipse+evo <--- How many times can we cover this in a week? I'll reiterate again: we already had an "Evo Eclipse".
