I live in small town.
Two of my best friends are cops there.
I have known them since we were 4 years old.
I know there cop friends from surrounding towns too.
I am very lucky

V1 wont do **** for a laser... All it takes is one mistake at the wrong time....... Almost evrybody has driven over the speed limit some time, most do it all the time (just look around when you are on the expressway). Just be careful if you drive an EVO or similar car.... The chances for a ticket are much greater because of the cars we choose to drive.

Well, not to disappoint you, but that is EXACTLY what happened and not exaggerated at all....it was amazing (and sad) to hear. I was at the dealer in Fort Wayne, Indiana when I heard that.

By the way..I was pulled over for going a couple (less than 5) mph over on I-69 South near Indianapolis in my NSX and given a ticket...this was with other people PASSING ME....even the prosecuting attorney could not believe it until I showed him the ticket..he dropped it for me right then and there. Dude, do not underestimate the power of jealously some officers have when you have a nice car.

They definitley single you out. I was in MA doing between 84 and 90 with the flow of traffic and state cop nails me and says he "thinks" it was me, and that he basically pulled me over because I was driving an expensive fast car (Audi Allraod) with Xenon's. The f'er.

Yep...that is what happened to me....I was in my black NSX and a lady in a brown Taurus smoked past me at about 80-85 (it was a 65 zone) with two other cars behind her and I got pegged for being in the 68 mph range because my car looked fast....bastards.

You are probably right.. It does depend on many things. I would suggest that now days with the huge budget deficits that most municipalities and staes are seeing, you can bet your *** they'll be looking at every opportunity to write tickets.... There was an article in the radio the other day about the NYC cops writing people up for sitting on steps, and all kinds of silly ****... They are desperate for money now and law enforcement (revenue collection) is being ratcheted up everywhere. I've seen a lot more police activity in the last few weeks and it's increasing all the time..... All I say is be extra vigilant EVO owners, things are getting tough all over....

C'mon guys... We're not all that bad... It just depends on the location, your attitude, his mood , and the circumstances... I don't know anyone here that "singles out" just sports cars.. Sometimes I would stop them for the dumbest thing just to get a closer look at their wheels!!
(Hint): Even if it aint your fault, be apologetic, and respectful.. It will usually get you out, unless that specific Ofc is a jerk, which every dept has one or two...

Exactly John ... my point exactly. Not all cops single us out (unless you live in Indiana ) .... and don't forget they may just be admiring the car.

Meeyatch1, you live in Indy? I'd love to see your Evo, I haven't seen another on the streets here yet. 69 is notorious for cops though.

live by the law and get rid of that radar gun! Cops do single cars out by the way they look.
