Warranty issue

Well I heard some clicking when doing left turns so I took the car into the dealership today. They come back and tell me that something scraped the boot and it's a little ripped but will not warranty it. I took a look and it's scraped but bearly scraped. So I argued with them for a few mins about why it wasn't under warranty and they said some bs like it wasn't defective and they only warranty defective parts, etc.... Last month we had a huge storm and I was driving in pretty high snow so that's the only thing I can think of that will cause it to scrape. My question is why wouldn't this be under warranty because obviously the boot will rip over time from the elements, isn't this the same? What do you guys think, should warranty cover this or no?

Dude think about it, the problem was not a defective part. It happened due to a force of nature(snow). If they warranteed stuff like this then where would it end? If a stone cracked your windshield they would warranty it, if a tree feel on your ride and crushed it then a warranty?

Looks like your ride is over a year old anyway....just my .02's...

Well one thing was that they said they can not guarantee that was the problem either because the scraps were so little. So they told me to take and drive it until the noise became louder. I don't really know how those scraps got ther. It could have been snow got built up around the rims and froze and scraped it, who knows.
