Is a Ported and Jet Coated Stock Turbine Housing for my 2005 worth doing...I know the BR 350 has it done...but is it really worth it?

IMHO, probably not... if you have an VIII, you may want to upgrade either to a big turbo or a larger stock-like turbo (i.e. IX turbo; FP Green), at which point you can get it ported then...

IIRC, Buschur's dyno testing showed that the combination of ported Ebay O2 housing, ported/coated stock exhaust manifold, and ported hotside = ~22whp. And we already know that the O2 housing accounts for about 10-15 of that; and the ported mani most likely the rest... If I had to guess, I'd say you'd gain like 2-4 whp...

2-4whpis not worth the time it takes to P&P the manifold and hotside, I got bored and did mine.
