Can anyone tell me how long you should stock your methanol in your container inside your trunk (before you replace it)? my friend has alky kit... i just asked him how come your methanol tank is still full?...he said" oh i barely use it! its been sitting there for three months now!
i just thought that the alcohol content might be low?......

 

It doesn't expire.. But it can evaporate over time, and it will absorb moisture/water over time..

Generally if you keep your alky injection setup enabled all the time, you should have to fill it every two tanks of gas (approximately, depends on driving style and whatnot)

I would say if its not being used to the point of being empty after a month of daily driving, its probably not worth keeping the kit on the car.

How well your meth container is sealed (a small vent hole vs. open top container) and how hot the surrounding conditions are will be important. If it's been sitting around for 3 months though, the level probably hasn't dropped because of all the water it's absorbed.

 

No it will not expire, but it will vaporize and pull in moisture like stated above.

 

I usually won't drink it if it has been out for more than a month or so.
