Rear weather strip noise?

Well since I installed mr vortex generator on my 03 Evo a few years back, I have had rattle noise since coming from the rear passenger side window. When I was putting the black weather strips back after the install, everything went in fine except one white clip on the rear side would not clip into the rear window, its all the way at the end of the weather strip next to the trunk. I have tried putting even two clips at the end but they just don't stick.

Anybody else had this kind of problem? If so how did you solve it? By the way I can't bring the car to the dealership due to mods. Any helpful suggestions would be nice.

That would not be ideal. Plus, that won't fix the problem. The weather stripping goes from the rear windshield to the front windshield. You can replace the clips but the weather stripping has nothing to do with it. I had a similar problem because I broke one of the white clips and there is three on each side. I just used two instead and didn't see a problem. I hightly doubt that the noise you are getting is from the weather stripping. It's probably something else. The only thing to do is put some sort of foam pad uneather it and see if it still rattles or take it off entirely to see if it still rattles to narrow down your problem. I'm so used to rattling in my evo I don't even bother anymore.

Its definately the weather strip making the noise because its loose at the end. I tried placing two clips but they just don't clip into the window like the others....

I've used auto glass adhesive to make these kinds of repairs. I'm not sure what sort of clip is at this location but I have either ground off the projecting part of a clip and then stuck it down with this adhesive or used the adhesive in place of the clip.

The adhesive comes in a tube that fits a caulk gun.
