Those with Defi's

I just installed my Defi BF Imperial Boost gauge (PSI).

I had a few questions. On the start up, does anybody's move up to peak SMOOTHLY and then STUTTER as it decreases? Looking at videos, it appears that most peoples seem to do the upscale and downscale smoothly while mine kind of stutters on its way down...

Bad gauge?

Also, how do you get the CUII to light up?

it is supposed to go up smoothly then studder down as you said. I think the booklet even shows a graph of how it was programmed to do that. As far as getting the CUII to light up, well when you wired it into the DC voltage source and the illumination that shouldve taken care of that. If your guage lights up properly your CUII should as well. I have the boost, EGT, and oil pressure so shoot me a PM if you need any assistance.

ahhh... that explains it. With any defi piece you buy new it comes with instructions for all of it. Find one of the right ups in here, there are several, and they will guide you through it. But if your gauge is on, your CUII is on, if you have the dimming wire connected, the gauges get dimmer when the lights come on and that can be adjusted on the CUII. Also all the warnings and everything are adjusted with the unit. Also, ensure you have it connected to the correct gauge output, i believe output 1 which is the second one in from the end if im not mistaken, <--- probably am though... otherwise the dimming wont work at all

The gauge is working perfectly. If you are not getting the illumination the solution to your problem is very simple. Get a test light and find a wire that only illuminates the test light when you turn the parking lights on. When you find one, tap it with the appropriate Defi wire and whallah! Your CUII will light up like a Christmas tree. Mine work 100% perfect!

I dont remember what Defi wire is the dimmer wire, but I had the booklet that came with it. I can go look if you want me to. I have 4 booklets/instructions. One for each gauge and the CUII. Really though, a test light is your best friend for this installation.

Weird! I got it! For whatever reason mine needs to be on Ouput 2 (far right) in order for the boost light to stay on when the headlights aren't. Also, this allows the CUII to light up... strange.

You are going to confuse the poor lad. The "nipple" has nothing to do with anything.

I would also suggest the write up on www.evomoto.com for a reference.
