is evo 9 really worth buying? mr mental slump stike me again. ok, i was thinking of selling my 8, buy a, AE86, wait for a year and earn money in the process and buy an evo 9 cash or at least VERY, VERY, close on getting paid off. but i'm going to keep my mods so when i buy the 9, i can mod it without spending money. what you guys think?

 

To me its not worth it. Its the same chassis. I rather just wait and either buy a mivec harness, head, and ECU and ACD setup from a wrecked one.

 

Just how many IX MR's were imported into the USA...that is your answer....

 

IMO if you already have an evo there is no point in upgrading to a 9. From a financial point of view you will lose so much money that could be spent on your 8

 

im going to tell you the same thing i tell each and every 8 owner who thinks on getting one. your on crack!!!!!! its the same car with a different head and different front bumper thats it. it would be a waste in my opinion, now going from 8 to 10 that could be interesting but a 9 dont get me wrong they alright but thats not really that big of a upgrade. everything on the 8 is damn near the same on the 9. choose and choose wisely.

 

What mods do you have on your 8? IMHO the best way to revive interest in a car is to toss more mods on it. Keep the 8 & put on an evo green or something, you'll be happy with it! Sure it costs $$ but if you're smart about it you won't loose your *** like you will buying a newer car. Just my $.02
