Check out what I did the other day. Trying to give the Evo some fresh cool air at idle. Used the original top piece and hood scoop over the open air filter. Let me know what you guys think. Critiques are welcome.

i figured why waste time making a cold air shield and duct. Saved a lot of time using original pieces that came with the car. The ghetto way makes it look like a creeper.

 

this is not new....i think including the lid restricts the air flow...i have just my scoop without the lid...now if you could have the filter self contained then it would be beneficial since it would be isolated from the hot air somewhat

 

maybe I'll mess around with it sometime. I'll add some sheet metal and maybe cover the bottom end of it. Thanks for the replies.
