Talking New Evo pilot here.

Well, I went ahead and took the plunge. Got a silver Evo8 today. Only driven 100 miles so far. Driving the car very easy.

A few quick newbiee questions:
1. My strut bar is silver and red. I thought the strut bars were black? I did not pay for any extras, and no extras were listed on my sticker.

2. There was a silver/aluminum metal template type thingy in my glove box for the gauge cluster. Does this go one the gauge cluster? Is this standard on all Evos?

3. My Evo8 has silver door plate scuff pieces. Is this normal too?

On most of the Evos I have seen on the web they dont have these items mentioned above. Any ideas what is happening?

How much did you pay for your Evo? All of those accessories you listed are dealer added accessories from .

I had test driven this exact car previously, but I forgot what my car had on it. I have looked at so many Evos that I didn't remember which car had what on it. when I got home and raised the hood I noticed this one had the silver and red bar. Then I noticed they had the aluminum gauge surround in the glove compartment, and silver scuff plates. I hadn't noticed any of these things at the dealer.

So the silver and red sway bar is just a option because of the color? It looks the same as the black bar as far as I can remember.

So far very pleased with the car. It has 120 miles on it. Driving it very easy. I'll get more pics up once I get access to a better camera.

ed voyles put those accessories on there. ( Thats where you bought it, right? ) You should have a rear bar in the trunk also. Tnose are the accessory strut bars made of aluminum. I'm not sure why they did it, but its cool. I believe the red one they had there is like that too.

Yes please, could you post a pic of the cluster backing? I'd really like to see what it looks like since the regular cluster is dark and lacks contrast...

I think a while back you were talking about going to carmax, then to "another" dealer. Then I read where you have all this "extra" stuff, so I just put the two together. I went up the Ed Volyes a couple of times to check out the silver, and red one. I guess they just have the black and the red one now I hope to get mine from there too.
