Turbine Sound got louder

I just had my clutch replaced, the Act feels really good, I am even scared to change the gear too fast.

The problem is that the sound of the turbo is much louder than before, I am still getting all the boost that I would normally get but it is tappering out from 21 to 18 up top.

The exhaust was removed from the manifold.

Anyone has ideas or had a similar problem.

I have a JDM EVO VII.

Maybe the exhaust mani/downpipe wasn't tightened. A clutch should not make a turbo any louder.

check for boost leaks. they may have taken some IC piping off to get to the trans.

they also probrably had your downpipe off so you may want to check to make sure the bolts to the 02 housing are tight and that they didn't lose your doughnut gasket for that connection.

check the downpipe bolts and make sure they are on and tight. this happened to me and the bolts connecting the dp to the o2 were missing. car sounded sweet though. tripped a SES light but i just un hooked the battery and it re-set itself

If you still have the stock air box, check the connections. They may not have put the clamps on correctly or they are loose. This would make the turbo spool louder. It wouldn't be the down pipe.
