Blew up a Evo at work today.
evos should come with keys like the bentley GT...comes with 2 sets of keys, 1 for the owner, 1 for valet. I believe it can only go like 1-2 miles until it shuts down and has no access to trunk or glove compartment. But instead of all these features, a valet Evo key should cut boost and/or revs. now if the dealer needs to test boost, give em ur normal key.
heh...I used to be a lot attendent when I was a teen. How the hell do you afford an evo on lot attendant pay? Anywhoo, what he said dont ever leave a fast car at the dealership to have work done on it...ever!
I'm a former Lot Attendant at an Infiniti dealer. I drove the new cars fast, but I never beat on them. I did beat on the cars that were to be sent to auction. I once jumped a Saab, and got all 4 wheels at least 2 feet off the ground. I think I bent one of the rims, as one of the tires was almost flat when I reached my destination. I also executed a PERFECT 180 with the e-brake while parking a Corolla. I had witnesses too, it was sweet!
Edit: I just remembered that I drove a WRX that we were doing a courtesy trade on, and I burnt the hell out of the clutch. I burnt it so badly that I had to drive it around the block a few extra times, so that it didn't smell like clutch when I returned.

i usually don't mind leaving it at my local mitsu dealer. they've had the same 4-5 techs as far back as i've known and i'm sure they've beaten enough evo's that it's not a big thrill for them anymore like some of the techs that have never driven one. my dealer sells and services alot of evos.

it's not a very big dealer and doesn't have many salesman or lot guys. and the dealer owns the ralliart evo from the SEMA show, so they've probrably all drove that already. plus, i never leave it there for long, and usually wait in the waiting room. not all dealers have d***s working there, mostly just the larger ones.

(being a backseat driver)
That's why I hate leaving my car at the DS.
These guys have no respect for other people's property. That's why I do all the maintenance myself, no one there is touching my car unless something breaks.
