New manifold, rust...maybe?

I just installed a tubular manifold. Started her up, let all the WD-40 burn off everything.

once everything cooled down I went to check out my header and noticed there were speratic spots on it that looked like rust, I went to get my glasses and noticed it was a palm print! and I saw a few other finger prints that had been "baked" on.

My question is, can this be cleaned off? and how

thank you

Was it stainless? When you install an exhaust mani, it's best to wipe it down and get any oil, grease and finger prints off before you start the car. I hate to say it but whatever was on it is baked on now.

Once it's baked on, it's on. You would have to probably use some type of abrasive to get it off, but you'll scratch it up in the process.
