Car revs/idles funny after defi boost guage install
I just installed my defi boost guage, did all the wiring through the radio except for power which i did through the turbo timer. The vaccum line should be ok. I turned the car on and put it in reverse and it revved to like 2k rpm. I stopped it, turned the car back on and it doesnt do it in reverse now it revs to 2k ish and back down to normal idle incrementally maybe once every thirty seconds in neutral just idling...any questions...ty in advance.
after futher analysis it only revs high when the car is turned on and off, and when you give it gas in neutral, actually a small throttle blip and release will cause the jump to 2kish rpms...if someone could help me it would be great.
while allowing the car to sit, it idles normally, but if you blip the throttle or turn the car off it revs to around 2k rpms. Also after two minutes precisly of the car idling all three of the ACD lights come on, if you turn the car off and the tt engages only one of the lights will illuminate and when you turn the car back on the acd lights are normall for 2 minutes. PLEASE HELP!
Can someone post pictures of there actuall install.. and where i need to tap in for power (voltage), the ignition wire to tap, and the illumination wire....again pictures please.
or at least give me a location and color/description of the wires.

Are you sure your not creating a short somewhere or tapped the wrong line?
I dont have the defi gauges, but I do have the stock mitsubishi guages. I cant remember which wires I used for light and power, but if you want constant power, then the yellow wire is the one you want to use (if I remember correctly). I think that yellow wire gives constant power no matter if the key is in the ignition or not.

i think your right, im going back through today and rewiring, if someone could post some pictures or descriptions on what wiring i need to use it would be very helpful, the faulty wiring would explain the acd lights but do you think it would explain the revs?
i just got back from autozone....2 engine codes relating to my problem
p0123 which is throttle position sensor
p0106 which is a chane from the manifold in absolute pressure or barometric pressure sensor
i can understand the second one being a boost leak but can anyone help with the first code

Did yo follow the write-up in the how-to section because if you did, there is noway you should be having these problems right now. Did you ziptie or clamp the vac lines you teed into? Did you test any of your wiring with a meter?
yes i followed the howto actually i followed the www.evolution-8.com/howto.php instructions. i just unwired and took off the entire guage ran straight hose and im still haveing the high reving.....does anyone know if i may have knocked something loose to cause these codes?
is it possible that you might have unhooked somw sensor or harness and forgot to hook it back up?
i wired my defi gauge by grounding to the steering column and getting positive from dimmer switch.
vac line should be the short line in the back left of the motor coming out and going into the manifold. it is wrapped with plastic coil.

the only thing i touched in the engine bay was the vaccum line, and i definetly teed the right line. i completely disconnected the entire guage (including all electrical) and put a single line of vaccum on with no tee, the problem persisted, so i hooked the guage back up. i cant figure out what it is....anyone have any ideas out there
