I'm wondering if anybody has ever removed the entire sunroof assembly or at least dropped it a bit. I need to access the sunroof headliner (piece that slides over the sunroof) and it seems that the only way to do this is to drop the sunroof It seems sort of complicated since there are some copper tubes and such attached to the roof itself. I just don't want to break anything...suggestions? Thanks

 

Take out the headlinder and then there should be a few 1omm bolts(on some cars, they are 12s) that hold it in. The lines should disconnect fairly easy. Take your time and nothing should get broken. Good luck

 

Yep, 918Evo is right. I had my entire 03 roof (sunroof too) replaced with an MR roof. Sunroof is sitting in my garage, and there's a set of bolts. Cake!

 

How much was all that? And where did you get it done? How much were the parts for the roof? That carbon fibre roof from ams looks a lot better than my dented 03 sunroof crap.
