BC inverted Coilovers Or Megan Track?
BC inverted Coilovers Or Megan Track?
Hey guys im in the market for coilovers and deciding btwn these. They are both in the 1000 range and was in need of advice into which I should get. Thank you for your input!!
What are you using them for? If you're going to be competing, I've had good luck so far w/ the Megan Tracks--got them from TTP & am impressed w/ them for the $ .
If you're not going to compete, just get springs & save some $

Megans have had nothing but good reviews,
I think the BC's are actually a little better quality though - A little beefier
If your not going to track the car, go for the regular BC's over the inverted setup

Megan Track Series are endorsed by major road racing companies as being a winner in entry level performance for the money. If I have any additional sets left in stock by the time our race motor is complete, I will be putting them on the shopcar MR.
Road Race Engineering and the posting is in a private forum which employs a "vouching" system acceptance.
A quick look at one of their cars and you would be hard pressed to argue their expertise in suspenison.

If you are going to track the car go for the Megan Tracks. They have higher spring rates and dampening to match.
If you're going a street set up and some track I'd have to say the BC ones. They're the new version of Megan's design.
I recently changed from Megan to BC type BR coilovers. So far they feel about the same... The BC I have a custom spring set up so it is a bit more aggressive. In terms of comfort I'd give the nod to the Type BR. The spring isolator's new design isolates more road noise from the cabin and the lower locking collar is a cup design to prevent it getting loose when hitting pot holes. That was a big problem I had with the Megans. I ended up having to locktite and pound the crap out of the lower collar to keep it from "automatic ride height adjustment".
I'll post a side by side review when I get some time. I don't think may people have run both back to back.
