It may seem a little bit low but the real deal will be your trap speed at a track on a nice humid-free day. Dont get me wrong i always want the big numbers too......and a quick ET and 60'. What you trap will tell you alot.

This was done Sunday at Topspeed in Atlanta. On a Dynojet, for those who don't read well.

Temp - 85* F
Humidity - 23%

My mods:

HKS intake
Helix DP and TP
HKS 3" HiPower Exhaust
O2 simulator
ARP Headstuds
HKS 272 i/e cams
Forge BOV (recirc)
AMS Front Engine mount
Walbro 255 lph
Dynoflash to 22 psi (mail-in)
Greddy Profec B Spec II EBC

Defi guages showed a peak at 22 and falling to 19.5 by redline (7400 rpm)

Final numbers - 297 hp / 301 tq

I expected a little better, but I'm not complaining. I wanted to see close to 350 hp. Another guy there with a 30R said that he normally dynos 30-35 hp better than he did that day. I guess it's time to get my Evo to the 1/4 now and put down some times. Hopefully 12's.
have you tuned yet? if not, trust me it helps! im only running about 20lbs of boost and check out my #'s.

good luck.

No, I didn't get a custom tune at Topspeed. I originally went to get one. They said it was fairly spot on and that my dynoflash was pretty good. They seemed to think that they would not be able to pull much more hp / tq out of it.

Nice numbers man. Before I left, Rob was getting tuned with close to the same mods and Doug pulled 305/305 out of it (I think). So, your numbers aren't far off from others with similar mods.

You guys pulling lower numbers makes me feel a little better. I wanted 290 hp and got 293, so I'm happy. But, looking at the numbers, thats only 38 hp gain from my baseline. I was thinking it would be closer to 50 hp with my mods.

those numbers appear a little low. I think something is wrong with the dyno or the tune or something. That graph looks like it bounced around like crazy. That is not normal. I think you can get another 20 or 30 horses out of it still. Just my opinion though.

The dyno was reading low that day even Doug the owner/tuner of the shop said so. Normal basic bolt on cammed evo 8's make about 320-330 on his dyno. Doug said that everyone was putting down about 15-20 less than normal. Which makes me happy because he got 376 out of mine. Umm so lets see 376+15=391 for me!! I should of let Doug tune my car a long time ago, it feels great and has never drove so smooth. I was so impresssed with the shop and service that I even put the Topspeed sticker on my car.

See, I was really looking forward to a custom tune from Doug. If my tune is correct, I appreciate him being honest about it and not trying to do it just for the extra money.

Hopefully I'll get to the track on Fri or Sat and see what I trap.
