What is it that drives you to mod your car?

I go to the gym to get myself in shape and lose weight. There's nothing competitive about it
As for me, I need a hobby. Car parts are more expensive than other hobbies, but it's a lot healthier than computers/gaming and won't scare people off like trains or pokemon or whatever.

I mod my Evo and other cars to make them the best they can be. For me it is kind of a pursuit of perfection for that particular car. Because I drive it mostly on the street I want to make my Evo an "ultimate street car" of sorts. As I get into more true sports cars I'm sure I will find stuff that performs better in some ways but for now the Evo is it for me.
I am obsessed with engines. Anything with an engine, I want to make it faster. I like to see how far I can take it. I also like to work on other peoples cars to see the look on there faces when they hit the throttle. Priceless.
the reason everyone else does...to be faster and have a sick car..why drive stock??
and to the OP its not hard to walk a viper(depending on what he has) i beat a 99(?) GTS with mods.i had 400+at the time and he had the same...then he was like wtf?seems like you have more...it was great..
